The Compact DSNG-coder of CDX-T series

The compact satellite coder MPEG-2 of CDX-T series is assigned for the systems of satellite news collection and will definitely interest lots of satellite operators of broadcasting. In the body of 1RU height the coder MPEG-2 4:2:2/4:2:0, QPSK/8PSK/16QAM modulator and the increasing converter of L-, C- or Ku bands are combined, the total weight of the facility in less than 6 kg. To get the full-scale station for the producing of the direct satellite broadcast the user needs to complete the facility with the power amplifier SHF, transmission antenna and the TJC complex. The main characteristics of the coder are the composite PAL/NTSC or digital SDI video interface; two sound or analogous channels integrated into the SDI; the routine of the video processing MPEG-2 4:2:0/4:2:2, small delay up to 100 ms in the routine of coding; the encoding system BISS; not big used power (65 W) and weight (6 kg).

Another novelty of the Continental Microwave Company that allows making the live of operators of the movable satellite stations easier in direct and metaphorical sense is the compact station of mini Fly Away class of DST 140-SS series. The constructive peculiarity of this station is that the antenna's system with the hard detailed power amplifier SHF are fixed on the transportable case in which the new universal DCT-X coder with the build-in satellite modulator and the increasing converter is situated. Due to its small weight (about 105 kg) and compactness (the station is situated in 5 transportable cases) it can be easily transported by any means of transportation and its unfolding takes about 5 min.

The components of the station set are the antenna of 1 m diameter fixed on the transportable aluminium case, additional case (5RU) for the satellite equipment, 50 W hard body or valve power amplifier SHF, increasing converter L-, C- or Ku band. In the complication the power used by the station is 550 W. The station can be also completed with the TJC complex, equipment of the office connection, 125/180/350/450 W power amplifier SHF, check equipment, support for strengthening of antenna outside the case, the source of the autonomous power supply.
