Consoles by Forecast Corporation

Forecast Corporation is a quite famous company in the market of studio furniture. Company is focused mainly on the consoles, whose range is wide enough. These products facilitate high quality and good design, and it would be more reasonable to make a review of concrete models of ImageMaster elite Consoles series, instead of writing common phrases.

UMC is a multifunctional model, designed for linear and non-linear equipment areas. Having elegant design, this model is quite capacious and functional. A table with central pod, put to back side of countertop, is a basis of this series. The pod serves as a main support. In front, the countertop leans on two legs. Central pod contains built-in rack for equipment fastening. Above the table level there is shelf for monitors. Distance between the countertop and the shelf makes additional 3RU-height bay, that has edgewise dimension allowing installing three devices abreast, thus this deck's overall capacity makes 3 x 3RU. For additional equipment, a sidecar for video tape recorders and system units of computer and other devices is available. General UMC series dimensions are: 2400 x 1281 x 956 mm.

UMC console

GPX-model console is next in the products series. It has the same purpose as UMC, but its construction being essentially different. These differences show in table's superstructure. In the middle, under the central pod, two monitors are placed in oblique manner. Bays for audio and video equipment are fixed with the help of corbels, as if hanging along the edges of the table. The shelf employs the same mounting for one more monitor, which is located over two oblique ones, placed into the pod. The series contains additional sidecar that has the same capacity as UMC, but is less edgewise and two times higher. Dimensions of the whole series differ slightly from those of UMC model due to different structure of additional sidecar.

GC1 model of GC series is oriented, first of all, for computer graphics studios. Here other architecture is employed: central pod is excluded, table bases on two supports; for equipment there available two sidecars, located along the edges of the table; monitors are installed onto shelf, put above the countertop level. In general, this series allows configuring studio consisting of video recording device with video tape recorder and computer two-monitor graphic station plus audio playback and record device.

NL series console

GC3 continues the series, being somehow different from the previous model: main equipment is installed in central bay, placed obliquely in the middle part of the table. Shelf over the table is designed for monitors and sidecar is designed for additional equipment.

NL series represents more perfect studio furniture systems. They consist of two sidecars joined by central countertop over which monitor shelf is fixed on tubular poles. One sidecar contains video equipment and another one contains computer equipment. NL1 model does not employ central pod, but NL3 model does employ 3-section pod, in which it is possible to place additional equipment. Besides, NL3 model's space between table and monitor shelf represents one more bay that contains obliquely placed equipment with fastening designed for 19" rack.

VC1 and MIM consoles are very much similar to NL series furniture and differ, practically, by design.

Among accessories to Forecast furniture series there are additional tables, sidecars, shelves, and mini-consoles. Laminate of various color and texture is used for decorating.

Besides the described above compact furniture series, Forecast company manufactures big consoles designed for broadcasting and edit areas of large TV companies.
