English company Scubacam specializes in production of wardrobe trunks for cinema and video cameras used for shooting under water surface.

The line of these company products includes some special wardrobe trunks for various film cameras, including, for example, the cameras Arri SR2, SR3, 35/3, 435, Aaton Xtr/Prod, 35, etc. The wardrobe trunks for camcorders, in particular for Sony VX1000, Betacam 400/600 and 5/7, DVCAM, miniDV, DVCPRO and HD (HDTV) are also produced.

Wardrobe trunks are made from waterproof high-grade, durable, but soft latex which reliably protects both the camera and lens as on the water surface, as under water. Maximal admissible depth of immersion is 4 m. Besides the wardrobe trunks can be used in severe weather conditions of shooting for camera protection from dust, mud and other adverse effects of the environment. Metal members of wardrobe trunks are made either of stainless steel, or from the anodized aluminum. Thickness of latex shell is 2.5 mm ±25%. Effective range of temperatures is from -4 to +40°C.

Scubacam underwater wardrobe trunk for HDTV camera

The standard dimensions of wardrobe trunk for HDTV camera are 660×320×240 mm. Housing weight is 5 kg. For alarm signal of leakage there is a built-in tone-generator which is powered by the 9 V DC battery. The video cable by length of 10 m is provided by special transition underwater connectors Fischer/BNC (RGB). Audio signals can also give by means of special transition connectors — two six-pin underwater XLR3.

Except for wardrobe trunks for underwater shooting, Scubacam Company produces the special covers for rain and solar protection of shooting cameras, wardrobe trunks with heating the camera at shootings under sub-zero temperatures (down to -30°C) for what there is a heater with the built-in power supply +12 V, LCD monitors for use under water, etc.
