DvRigPRO from DVTEC

DVTEC Company (Israel) has designed the system of stabilization for compact camcorders of DV format. Set of models of the similar systems which have appeared in the market, as a rule, differ by its trade mark of the manufacturer and by little design peculiarities. But only the specialists of DVTEC Company could make something new. The system refers to as DvRigPRO. The idea of system is simple enough and original.

The system consists of a shoulder support with a rigid platform on which the camcorder is installed, two handles-holders and a waist belt with telescopic spring clamp- support.

System DvRigPRO allows the operator to carry out the smooth panning in horizontal plane and to shoot with any angle in a position convenient for him: at eyes level, higher or below his own height also. Irrespective of his height the operator may shoot the sitting people not being tilted and also to shoot the subjects which are located practically on the surface where there is the operator (the ground, floor etc.).

The waist belt with a clamp enables the stable shooting under walking or run, and in combination with shoulder support — an opportunity to operate during long time.

DvRigPRO camera stabilization system

Smooth moving of camcorder over the platform allows to compose the frame by means of the viewfinder or LCD-monitor. Under operation in any conditions the camcorder may be installed by the operator in a position convenient for him, reducing the load on his neck and back. The counterbalance is kept the camcorder balance. Weight of system is uniformly distributed between a shoulder and a waist belt. As a counterbalance the power supply of on-camera lighting device may be used. Two handles are used for panning and control of the videocamera. It is a possibility to install on one of handles of the stabilization system the module of the camera control, allowing to change the scale of the image and to carry out focusing so the operator does not need to diddle time and stop shooting for re-adjustment — because the control button is always under the big finger. The module of the camera control can be arranged on the right or at the left. If the control unit is in sight, there are possibilities to the camera switch-on/switch-off, to operate by zoom and focus (if the camera is in the mode of hand-held focusing), and also to recording switch-on/switch-off.

In the assembled state the DVRigPRO system is compact and easily can be placed in soft case, which is light even during a long trip.

The application of DVRigPRO platform is recommended for operation with the following camcorder: Sony DSR-PD170, Sony DSR-PDX 10, Panasonic AG-DVX100, Canon DM-XL1s or other compact cameras of DV format by weight up to 3 kg.
