Snell and Wilcox equipment for the embedded audio control

Snell and Wilcox Company traditionally pays big attention to sound processing in modular IQ series. Specially for needs of the TV broadcasters operating with embedded (SDI embedded) sound develops the multipurpose module IQAVDM-D-M allowing simultaneously make encoding of SDI-signal to composite PAL (with quality, sufficient for viewing on TV monitor) and to measure of signal level on four channels (stereo) embedded sound with output of information “above” video signal. Demultiplexing of an audio signal is made in parallel: four audio outputs may be connected to control monitors. Adjustment of the module parameters is carried out under network RollCall or by microswitches on the board. The displayed information allows to determine the presence of audio data, peak and average weighted signal level in each channel.
