Audio equipment Mackie Applying of the advanced scientific development and high adaptability to manufacture are the distinctive features of any production of this trade mark. Mackie continues successful movement for a way of creation itself own, completely completed firm studio sound path. Monitor of convergence is one of the most important parts of studio facilities. The equal frequency characteristic, transparent top and clearly readable bottom are the basic requirements presented by professionals to studio monitors; all Mackie monitors have the THX-certificate. With their help the disks of many known executors which became golden and platinum are recorded. Besides Mackie monitors were chosen by Dolby for demonstration of their equipment. Creatively having processed the huge experience of the previous designers, engineers from Mackie have created the first class active studio monitors HR824 which are wonderfully entered in the complete set of studio facilities of the different level, closely to serious designing and producing studios. The built-in amplifiers of low and high frequency, an active electronic crossover, an original design of cases and drivers have allowed to achieve from HR824 columns of “fair” unpainted sound with clear stereo base. Having equipped your studio by Mackie monitors, you will hear that you have recorded — whether it is dream of any audio engineer! Use of internal amplifiers has allowed to optimize the power characteristics of system and to get rid of the troubles connected to breakage of speakers in extreme situations. And the short way of a signal from the amplifier up to speakers has determined an equal clean sound irrespective of installation conditions. The secret of clear stereo picture and “fair” sound of monitor system HR824 consists in a wide dispersion of the high-frequency driver. Moreover, precise coordination of a dispersive picture of high and low frequencies essentially expands area of correct sounding of columns and allows to avoid sound anomalies in a point of medium/low frequency separation. But it is still far from being all: special orientation of twitters and woofers really allows to hear the most thin nuances of musical and speech material. Mackie engineers have carried out huge amount of experiments, selecting a material for twitter “cap”. As result their choice has fallen on the superexotic substance, allowed to achieve extraordinary clean and unpainted high frequency. Additionally special design of cases and application of special damper materials have minimized the influence of interference on sound. The one who even some time used various devices from Mackie, undoubtedly has noticed, what steadfast attention is given by designers to convenience and simplicity of operation. HR824 design is the next confirmation to it. On the front panel of monitors two indicators (supply and overload) and the toggle switch of power switching-on are located. HR824 inputs are made on symmetric XLR connectors and on symmetric/asymmetrical TRS-jacks (sensitivity of an input is adjusted). Three-position switch Acoustic Space allows to optimize sounding of monitors according with its acoustic properties of this or another room. Toggle switch Roll Off enables include the filter of suppression of frequency below 80 Hz in a sound path, simulating sounding of audio material on the domestic equipment. The sound of HR824 monitors can be adapted practically for any room. If the control room is saturated with sound-proof materials then with the help of switch High Freq it is easy to strengthen the high-frequency component of playback audio material (+2 dB since 10 Hz). In case of operation of monitors on presentations, in extemporaneous studios and in other booming rooms (for example, sports and conference halls) the same switch will allow to suppress high-frequency component of a signal on -2 dB. The supply mode switch is provided with three positions: Off — it is switched off, On — it is switched on and Auto On — is a standby mode. If the system is in standby mode, it enters into an active mode at occurrence of a signal. At absence of an input signal within several minutes the HR824 monitors automatically will pass in a passive mode. The amplifier of high frequency of HR824 monitors is provided with 100 W power and is maintained the peak load of 150 W. Similar characteristics are provided for the low-frequency amplifier — 150 W and 200 W. The frequency range of active monitor acoustics of HR824 are as follows: 39 Hz…22 kHz (±1.5 dB).
Double-band active studio monitors Mackie HR624 THX are made according to the same technology Mackie Active, as HR824 well recommending themselves. Monitors are provided with smooth frequency response and wide dispersion. However they are more compact, that allows to use them with success for surround applications and in small studios. HR624 systems may operate as basic monitors of stereosystem (with active subwoofer Mackie HRS120 or without it) and carry out the monitoring function of back channels of 5.1/7.1 of surround system. The built-in amplifiers of FR series disseminate 100 W on woofer and 40 W on twitter. Mackie has issued the 400-W studio subwoofer HRS120, using the same technology, as HR824. It is intended for application in addition to HR824 systems or new monitors of near field HR624, and also in any multichannel systems of monitoring to which the allocated channel of low frequency is necessary. Today for the TV, cinema, DVD and even for music more and more surround mixing in formats 5.1, 7.1 and higher is produced. It creates the necessity in multichannel studio monitor systems which would include an allocated subwoofer. HRS120 is not only carried out this role, but is supplemented any two-channel system which can get advantages from expansion of low frequencies down to 19 Hz and lower. HRS120 is provided with 12" low frequency speaker RCF Precision with 4" coil and cast aluminum frame. The output on low frequencies is strengthened by acoustic 12" passive radiator. The power is provided by 400-W amplifier with back servo communication of FR series. The back panel is provided with many controls, including crossover adjustment with passing HF filters on outputs for use with full range monitors, the elliptic filter 110 Hz for Dolby AC-3, the switch of an output level for recording AC-3 and THX, switching-off of crossover for THX, switching of polarity and adjustment of input sensitivity. Connectors include symmetric XLR and asymmetrical RCA. Support of modes Slave In and Master Out allow the connecting of systems in a row. Extremely strong case is provided with internal frame and high-quality coating which will be entered even in most luxurious furniture.
It is not a secret that Mackie makes one of the most popular professional studio monitors awarded with many international prizes. With an issue of new desktop studio monitor Tapco S-5 the experience of Mackie in development and production of studio monitors became accessible to everyone. S-5 is the active desktop monitor developed by Mackie and is provided with two built-in precision power amplifiers. 5.25" woofer gives out a powerful bass and the detailed middle. The monitor is provided with 1" silk dome twitter for soft tops, equipped with a waveguide, and also the button of low frequency rising, the HF rising button/switch for exact sound adjustment depending on arrangement of the monitors, the symmetric TRS/XLR- and asymmetrical RCA-inputs. New Tapco S-8 is the most loud and precise 8" active studio monitor in the class, with the powerful bass which is especially needed for modern rock, hip-hop, dancing music. It is provided with two built-in precision amplifiers of (2×135 W) power. 8" woofer gives out a powerful bass, and 1" silk dome twitter equipped with a waveguide provides exclusive stereosounding. The monitor is provided with the button of low frequency rising, the HF rising button/switch for exact sound adjustment according to arrangement of the monitors, symmetric TRS/XLR- and asymmetrical RCA-inputs. S-8 is magnetically shielded and can be placed near TV monitor. Material provided by A&T Trade Company |
