Studio monitors LSR6300 of JBL Company are itself the development of LSR series. LSR6300 series includes four models: active studio monitor LSR6328P, active subwoofer LSR6312SP, passive monitors LSR6332L/R and active monitors LSR6325P. The main features of the series are the following: new design of case, an opportunity of fine frequency response tuning by means of patented technology RMC (Room mode correction system) for LSR6328P and LSR6312SP, and also an opportunity of fastening on a wall. Besides the LSR6328P have convenient handles for transportation and installations. It is possible to count the system RMC or method of correction of studio room as main innovation. Frequently studio rooms are far from acoustic perfection and there are frequent such phenomena as reflections, an own redundant reverberation, standing waves etc. One of the first the JBL Company has undertaken for the decision of these problems. Sense of the decision is not in the change of room acoustics, but maintenance of maximum equal frequency characteristic in that place of control room where the audio engineer is operated. RMC system serves for suppression of low-frequency standing waves in a point of listening. In the monitor the 22-band parametrical 1/10-octave equalizer working in the frequency range of 26…96 Hz is installed. Other part of the system is a special measuring set which allows to define a dominant standing wave then the equalizer on the monitor in appropriate way is necessary to arrange.

LSR6325P active control monitor

LSR6312SP and LSR6328P monitors

LSR6325P is a compact active control monitor in cast aluminum case. Ii is the 5.25" woofer, 1" composite twitter with titanic coating. Power of LF amplifier is 100 W, HF amplifier — 50 W. An aluminum case with dark graphite coating as at the whole LSR6300 line, is served as a radiator for amplifiers and drivers. In comparison with predecessor LSR25P, in new model LSR6325P technological innovations which allow to minimize acoustic problems in control room and to optimize frequency efficiency in a mix-position are used. Under applying in complete set with subwoofer LSR6312SP the compact control system of full range is resulted. Besides, the front panel of the system is provided with the volume control, installation points for horizontal and vertical suspension and the magnetic screen for use in immediate proximity from video monitor.

LSR6312SP is the active 12" subwoofer with power 250 W. It is supplied with RMC system for electronic compensation of low-frequency reflections into control room (the calibration set is included into the complete set of delivery).Subwoofer is equipped with inputs LCR and direct LFE, and also with the summarized output for chain from several subwoofers. The phase inverter has the design with linear opening of the dynamics, excluding turbulence and lowering compression. Subwoofer is made in a strong case with convenient points of installation.

LSR6328P is an active double-band monitor system with smooth frequency response in the 50 Hz…20 KHz (+1 dB/-1.5 dB) range of playback on LF up to 36 Hz and new RMC system. In this model the 8" woofer and two amplifiers built-in a case: 250 W for LF and 120 W for HF are used. There is the assembly furniture for installations in multichannel control rooms. The advanced spatial-linear design provides a smooth efficiency on frequencies at displacement from an axis in mix-position.

LSR6332 is the passive three-band monitor system of an medium field used also for installation under the ceiling or behind of the screen. It provides power 200 W and peak level of the signal 112 dB on distance of 1 m. Into LSR6332 structure the neodymium differential 12" woofer, neodymium MF-speaker with 2" coil, titanic comosite twitter are included. Rotary section for MF-HF and phase inverter for vertical or horizontal installation is applied. Models are made with “mirror” layout — for the right and left channel.
