LC-HDT10 video projector from EIKI Company for digital cinema

Japanese EIKI Company is a producer of the projectors during 50 years. The line of projectors EIKI includes models for domestic use (Home series), office (Office series) and professional (Profi series), and also powerful stationary film-theatrical projectors (Event series). In projectors of Event series the four-lamp light sources are used, the wide set of lenses and the interface boards are offered for them.

Perhaps, one of the most interesting models of this series is LCD-projector LC-HDT10 with a luminous flux 5500 ANSI-lm. It is distinguished by high contrast ratio, which is equal to 1000:1, that it is the extremely important for cinematography. High resolution is corresponded to the standard of projection of digital cinema HDTV (1980×1080) without compression and distortion. Besides in LC-HDT10 the new improved circuit of progressive scanning which provides the resolution and picture brightness increase with support of conversion of the frame sequence (2:3 drive) is realized. The projector is supplied with Color Management Software, allowing adjusting natural colors, correctly to establish the white balance and to correct the color hues of the computer image.

As many professional equipment the projector is not completed with optics, therefore for receiving of the optimum image in a concrete room it is possible to choose one of nine offered lens models (among them are six with motorized zoom/focusing, two with short-focus with the permanent focal length and one with short-focus with zoom function). The projector provides the motorized movement of the lens in horizontal and vertical direction. The wide choice of lenses provides an opportunity of reception of the projected image of different size, therefore the LC-HDT10 model may be used in small, middle-sized and large cinema halls. One more property of this projector, causing its universality, is the opportunity to work in two modes: in general mode with flux 5500 ANSI-lm and in economic two-lamp mode with flux 2750 ANSI-lm. In the latter mode the projector works more silently with economy of the lamp resource, it is recommended to use in rooms by the area up to 50 m². It is necessary to add, that for doubling of luminous flux the opportunity of overlapping of two projectors with the help of special fastening (frame) is stipulated. This projection system can be used in sizable cinema halls.

LC-HDT10 is the projector of high resolution and it is provided for demonstration of films in HD format, but it may work with any image source: VTRs, DVD-players, the personal computer, video- and photo cameras, satellite tuners. The branchy panel of connectors with four replaceable input modules allows to connect the sources of composite, S-video, component and DVI video signals of the following chrominance systems: PAL/NTSC/SECAM/NTSC 4.43/PAL-M/PAL-N.

By the standard set of opportunities for connection which is provided with the built-in connectors, it is possible essentially to expand the spectrum due to replaceable input modules. Input modules of the following configurations are offered: SDI (dual HD-SDI and SD-SDI) — BNC×3; RGB/DVD/HD — BNC×5 video, RCA×2 audio, 8-pin DIN×1; DVI — DVI-I×1, RCA×2 audio, 8-pin DIN×1 (DVI input with HDCP support); open, in which it is possible the interface boards (Interface Board) of seven types to install.
