Geevs V4 Sports II
An enhanced package of features built on Geevs V4 technology, the Sports II option offers a powerful set of highlight and slow motion facilities for use on Sports coverage. Geevs V4 Sports II offers synchronised Multi-camera record and playback for up to 12 camera feeds, Slow-Motion, instant Highlight editing and control by Sports Devices.
Based on the evolving Geevs V4 technology, the Sports II version adds a number of features specifically aimed at improving productivity and effectiveness in Live Sports programming applications.
These additional features include:
- Slow-Motion — Selected sub-clips or clips can be played back in slow motion either individually, in a sequence or under remote control. Multiple channels can play back slow motion locked together;
- Synchronised capture and playback of multiple sources — Up to 16 record channels can be selected across multiple Geevs Servers for synchronised record. These recordings can then be reviewed and played back either locked together or with a fixed offset;
- Mark functions — A series of Mark points can be entered while recording, or when reviewing material, so as to provide quick access to moments of particular interest;
- Ability to capture highlight clips on the fly while recording continues — Using a preset duration, a highlight clip of the previous xx seconds recording can be automatically created on the press of a button. Recording continues and the highlight clip is immediately available for playout or editing;
- Control via dedicated Sports controllers — To provide the desired user interface, controllers such as DNF or Hi-Tech can be attached;
- Source material can be available to edit while still being recorded — Either using playback channels on the same Geevs Server or using the GASSS shared storage system, it is possible for events to be edited while still in progress and being recorded. Editing can start when the event starts, so highlight packages can be available at the earliest possible moment;
- Segmented Capture — Recordings can be made in predefined segments rather than to a single file. This allows captured segments to be moved or deleted as required, for instance always keeping the last few hours material available, even over many days. This feature also allows very long continuous recordings, even for several days.
Geevs V4 Sports software will run on any hardware configuration supported by Geevs, but the slow motion features are only available on systems using the DigisuiteLE and MJPEG compression.
Geevs V4 Sports software can be added as an upgrade to existing systems.
