The teleprompter of Vectorbox News system

The teleprompter is an integral part of the news and air system Vectorbox News. The window of the teleprompter may be removed on the second computer monitor of system Vectorbox News included in the head of the television prompter.

As a rule, the first monitor is used for compositing of the script of the news edition, i. e. off-the-air schedule (see the figure). The system defines each event of edition as a separate line of the reproduction sheet. It may be both direct switching-on of the camera or reproduction of video fragments from built-in video server or connected VTRs. The text which is made by the announcer may associate with each such line or group of lines (incorporated logically on the belonging to one theme of edition). For an output to the screen of the teleprompter it can be prepared in txt or doc formats.

The system allows to distinguish the announcers on average speed of reading and automatically determines the time necessary for perusal of each concrete text, informing about it at compositing stage of the off-the-air edition schedule. This possibility is the convenient tool of planning of duration of news edition. Speed of movement of the text on the teleprompter screen, available before the announcer, also depends on prospective speed of reading of the announcer.

The window of the teleprompter provides not only for display of the necessary textual information, but also provides to the announcer the direct control for the work of the Vectorbox News system. If it is necessary the announcer may control the movement of the text by means of the standard computer mouse or a pedal and also to give to the system the command for transition to the following event in the schedule (script) of news edition. Considering, that besides the control functions of display from various sources the Vectorbox News system allows to operate by external switching devices, it is possible to confirm, that in case of need there is a possibility to supervise all course of release from a workplace of the announcer, having before his eyes only the screen of the teleprompter.
