Occasionally in the development of the digital broadcasting networks it is appeared the task of liquidation of network gap. In other words, it is necessary to provide the transmitter of low output, which will be served as certain intermediate link between the main and relaying transmitter. Besides, he could become the economic efficient instrument for extension of the regional broadcasting network.

Exactly such unit is the new R&S XV7002 unit from Rohde & Schwarz Company. It is intended for direct signal relaying, transmitted by main transmitter and for extension of the regional broadcasting network. In the last case it is possibility to use him where the installation of additional powerful transmitting equipment is not effective.

R&S XV7002 allows using the different amplifying modules and realizes the modern control concept, inherent to the line of low power transmitter of R&S SV7002 series from Rohde & Schwarz Company. Herewith it is provided this series feature of high flexibility when installing and maintenance of the transmitter network.

This unit is transmitted the signals, entering from the main transmitter directly, not requiring any special circuits of the signal delivery and his modulation. Hereupon it is provided a quick and light extension of broadcasting network, and signifies the extension of TV signal covering area. R&S XV7002 can work as unit of the “gap” removal in single-frequency network (SFN) or as low power UHF transmitter. Herewith the taken VHF- or UHF-signals are retransmitted within the UHF range. Double IF-transformation guarantees a good channel division and allows executing the quick transformation of the frequency in UHF-range without needing of some filter realignment.
