Professional decoders MPEG-1/MPEG-2 Stradis

Some new developments of American company Stradis Professional such as the decoders MPEG-1/MPEG-2 Stradis SDM025/026/250/275/290 are PCI-cards, set in usual PC, and run under OS Windows 98/2000/NT.

The Stradis devices capable to decode any video data of MPEG-1/MPEG-2 format (including elementary, packed (PES), transport and programme streams) with presentation 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 and rate up to 50 Mbit/s.

Stradis series decoders

Depending on model, on output Stradis give either analogue signals only (composite and S-Video plus symmetrical audio), or analogue and digital (SDI SMPTE 259M-C plus SMPTE272M built-in and AES3 audio).

Amongst additional capabilities of decoders are the following: an insertion of digital audio element into standard SMPTE 259 videosignal; Genlock input for synchronizing with external device; function of the synchrosignal reconstruction at video transmission via satellite or in shared networks; a support of the frame ratio 16:9. Besides, there is possibility to remove video on VGA-monitor.

The range of scopes of these decoders is wide. The most interesting and the most perspective directions of the use Stradis are the systems intended for broadcasting automation, as well the systems for sending of mediadata.
