Compact HD-camcorder JVC JY-HD10 with 720/30p format JVC Company has developed the new compact digital camcorder of high resolution (HD) JY-HD10. This first in the world “manual” (hand-held) inexpensive professional camcorder, which records and reproduces video pictures in 720 lines of the progressive scanning with 30 frames/sec (720/30p) on cassette miniDV. The exclusive portability of this model (in contrast with traditional HDTV camcorder) opens the new stage in development of HD production. Professional JY-HD10 appeared on video equipment market at March 2003. It is equipped by 1/3" matrix of the new development on 1.18 Mpixels with progressive scanning (with aspect ratio picture 16:9), having features one of the most high in industry. JY-HD10 can record the material on miniDV cassettes and reproduce the digital HD-pictures 720/30p and wide-screen pictures 480p with progressive scanning in MPEG-2. In JY-HD10 is used MPEG-2 with inter-frame compression i. e. with compression in time area. However, for mode recording and playback of digital HD scenes of high resolution the recording duration at a rate of usual format DV (480i) with inter-frame compression is saved. Due to pre-recording of I-frames this camcorder the speed searching and playback may carry out. JY-HD10 has built-in 10-times high resolution lens with variable focal lengths. The lens has high allowing ability on edge of the frame, raised relative brightness on edge and distortion features, which are providing a possibility of HD-shooting. Laminated covering of the lenses and big blind also promote to high resolution of the picture.
The camcorder is eqiupped with specially designed circuit of the signal processing and scans assigning system, which provide to multi-format recording of HD-pictures. On base of moving lenses, servo driver for lenses and algorithm of vibration detecting the optical stabilizer of the picture avoids the deterioration of the pictures which are caused by vibration and provided for HD-shooting without tripod. The camcorder has the high signal/noise ratio and good sensitivity. Besides, new CCD structure increases the dynamic range, and original filters and circuits for signal processing are improving the vertical and horizontal color resolution. For the reason of achievement of the greater liberty in transmission of the texture and specifically bright colours this camcorder is eqiupped with original progressive filter. Along with circuit of signal processing the filters provide for maximum efficient vertical and horizontal resolution. There are three shooting modes: HDTV is for reception of the digital pictures at 720/30p format; standard — for wide-screen progressive scanning 480/60p and with compression MPEG-2, and DV — for pictures 480/60i with DV-compression. For each mode the efficient pixel number is the following: 840,000 (HDTV), 460,000 (Standard), 340,000 (DV). Video cameramen can choose the modes depending on type of the shooting and character of scene. The increasing converter will convert digital HD-scenes (720/30p) and wide-screen with progressive scanning 480p into 1080i pictures, but decreasing converter will convert them into usual 480i pictures. The user enables to view the material, shot by camcorder, on any imaging device. The modes of recording/playback:
The possibility of sound recording on two 16-bit channels or four 12-bit channels is provided. Monitoring for shooting is possible with 3.5" color Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) with 200,000 pixels and on 0.44" color LCD viewfinder (113,000 pixels). The connection through port i. Link (the transport MPEG-2 flow) provides IEEE-cable rerecording of 1394 digital video signals from DV tapes (25 Mbit/sec maximum) in D-VHS HS mode (28 Mbit/sec maximum), for instance, to tape-recorder D-VHS JVC HM-DH30000. The weight of this camcorder in whole completing is about 1.5 kg. Dimensions: 114.5×99×271.5 mm. Material provided by Era Company |
