Wohler’s equipment is designed first of all for quality signals evaluation. Typical example of such evaluation is registration of dropping of single or several parameters below threshold. And it looks like the main purpose of company’s activity is giving user possibility of maximum data concentration from one or several broadcast channels at once onto 1…2 indication fields. Customers of such equipment are transmission stations and broadcast facilities, satellite signals receiving posts, editing and processing suits, dubbing studios, cable TV facilities, as well as OBs, mobile gap fillers and others, e. g. those who due to production specifics need in small space create compact systems for input or output signals quality evaluation.

Wohler’s equipment range gives a possibility along with typical tasks to solve pretty specific ones. Any lineup functionality assumes solving task of mostly any complexity. Newest company’s developments are monitors for Dolby audio monitoring and Panoramadtv video and audio monitors with active LCD panels.

Panoramadtv lineup includes two sub-groups of devices: video monitor and combined video/audio monitors with SDI and RGB inputs may be installed as an option. All devices are rack mounted and occupy 2U/3U section.

Panoramadtv video monitors have: NTSC/PAL auto detection function; one or several 4“…7” LCD panels (up to 4) with 16:9 aspect ratio for 7" panels and 4:3 for all others. Monitors have also one or few (up to 4) bypass inputs for analog composite signal (one input for each screen) and for operational convenience panels’ angles of view may be adjusted.

VAMP-2 video and audio monitor

Additional SDI modules designed for field work are equipped with one video input per channel and two video outputs: locked SDI and for converted composite signal. Module also has built-in color bar generator (SMPTE).

Panoramadtv combined video/audio monitors beside single 4" LCD panel have the same functions set as video monitors but additionally they have high quality speakers, bypass inputs for analog/digital audio signal and 53-segment bar indicators for audio level evaluation. In VAMP-2 model SDI is standard. In another model — Wohler VAMP AC-3 — dedicated to Dolby digital signal monitoring beside functions described above there are two Dolby Digital AC-3 inputs or combination of one Dolby Digital AC-3 input and AES/EBU input plus built-in Dolby decoder and six 53-segment bar indicators.
