“Pultex” mobile multi-camera station

Mobile station for multi-camera shooting is designed for out TV shootings with possibility of placing equipment in minibus (MTS variant) or directly at shooting area: concert hall, stadium, shooting studio, sports palace, etc. The station is designed for operating on the air with sending program signal through relay station or other kind of communication with TV center, as well as forming and record of TV version of current programs.

The station is designed mainly for small and middle TV companies equipped with video cameras. For such cameras of various formats there was designed uniform camera adapter connected via special camera cable with camera channel module (CCM) that is a part of camera channel block (CCB). Besides necessary number of CCMs, CCB contains the following modules: synchronizing generator, matrix video commutator, “director-operator” communication systems, power supply unit and controller of monitoring and communication with control panels of directors and video engineer. Such integration allows reducing number of interblock edit cables, which simplifies and quickens station’s roll-in and increases its reliability.

CCB’s being capable of adjusting two director’s control panel allows forming two separate programs: on-air and video projection. Directors’ control panels are capable of employing both built-in video mixer with simple effects set and external customer’s video mixer.

Video engineer control panel may adjust control cables, which allows monitoring of camera modes.

Effectiveness of technical conception of the mobile station was proved by designing two reliable sets; one of them is now successfully functioning in Kirishskiy entertainment center and the second one has been more than once used in for forming video project programs during various events at St. Petersburg concert halls and sports palaces (i. e. Oktyabrskiy, Yubileyniy, etc.).
