Proline multi camera mobile station

Russia may hardly boast of international sports competitions on its territory. Lap of Biathlon World Championship held in Khanty-Mansiysk is one of such competitions. As it is known, events of such level have strict regulations including in addition high-quality TV broadcasting of competitions. Here broadcasting is traditionally provided by district TV and radio “Yugra” company, which uses mobile multi camera station in cases. Though the station was designed in 2000, its engineering decisions make the station modern and satisfying all requirements of TV production. MTS is based on Philips LDK-100 cameras and commutation and interface equipment of Leitch manufacture. Barco monitors are used for signal visual control. Final signal is formed by 32-channel Philips DD-20 video mixer having all necessary crossings and effects in its inventory. Alladin Pro effect block of Pinnacle Systems manufacture provides additional capabilities for program setting. The station’s camera is installed with the help of pneumatic Vinten pedestals. Besides, MTS contains four-channel server by EVS company, which provides slow motion review necessary for broadcasting sports competitions. All equipment is installed in special transport case-racks providing not only quick roll-in (total time not more than 2 hours) and comfort operating of the station, but also its safe transportation and holding.

This MTS broadcasted final laps of Biathlon World Cups starting from 2000, and also Biathlon Junior World Championships and Summer Biathlon Competitions. The same MTS was transported onto the Black Sea coast to All-Russian Children center “Orlenok” for shooting of visual arts festival. The equipment has proved itself at hot and cold weather, stood several flights and roused no censures. MTS may adjust up to 30 cameras (not only Philips, but also Sony), which was demonstrated during shooting of Biathlon World Cup. Eurosport channel, a customer of the broadcasting, did not have any complaints, which proves high quality of MTS’s design and buildup.
