Sharp LCD Monitors The Japanese company Sharp is known by its progressive developments for a long time. As the leader in the field of LCD matrix production it was the first one in the world who started to produce video projectors based on the LCD matrix about ten years ago. And now Sharp remains the leader in the field of LCD matrix production based on TFT. These matrixes as the O.E.M. products are widely used by many finished product producers (monitors, projectors). More than a year ago in the wide sale on the market there appeared LCD TV sets and video monitors of Sharp production. So Sharp had reminded once more who makes the fashion in the industry. It is enough to take a look at the popularity of domestic LCD TV sets of AQUOS series with the screen sizes from 13 to 30 inches. Sharp didn't go the usual way for the small companies, which use the usual computer LCD matrix, installing the chip, re-counting the analogous video signal in the XVGA format, as a rule. These 'video monitors' get all the disadvantages of their relative: low contrast, low brightness, and, the most important, the high inertness of image and small viewing angle. All that was done to overtake Sharp, who inserted into the production of video matrixes from the very beginning, with minimum input and maximum speed.
Today the incredible parameters of LCD video matrixes are achieved. The last matrix generation has the viewing angle of up to 170 degrees, and the contrast achieved the level of 500:1 at brightness of 430 cd/m2. The video images on the Sharp matrixes has the staggering color rendition. That is the reason why all the production finds the wide application among other professional equipment. Besides, LCD video monitors have compact sizes, small weight and low power consumption with a reservation opportunity. At present on the European market the two models of Sharp LCD video monitors are presented: LC-15M4E, LC-20M4E correspondingly of 15 and 20 inches cornerwise. For the connection of video signals these monitors have the cutoff points of composite, component (BNC) and S-Video (miniDIN) signals. Monitors also have the control stereo dynamics, outlet to headphones and console of infrared remote control. The monitors power supply can be by the network of continuous current of 12 V tension, when the 15" monitor consumes less than 30 Wt, and weights 3,4 kg. The service life of the lamp is 60000 hours. Monitors allow rotating the image and to make it reflecting. The viewing angle is 160° , contrast is 350:1. "Baltika" Ltd. |
