The JVC Professional Monitors for the TV Production

The display devices of video information in the process of TV production always attracts the special interest as the requirements to the image quality on the monitors are as high as the requirements to the quality of the camera equipment itself. According to that the producers of the professional TV techniques maintain the constant work of improving of the display devices in the increase of resolution, decrease of the physical size of the image element (pixel), increase in the color rendition and increase of the service life of the equipment without the deterioration of the exploitation characteristics. Not so long ago JVC Professional presented the new line of monitors, which has some peculiarities, which allow modernizing the device according to the current needs of the video studio. Such an opportunities the system of the camera modules that the key models with the different screen sizes cornerwise are equipped with, provides to the customer. The JVC Professional monitors TM-H1750CG, TM-H1950CGE have the new electron-beam tube of 17" or 19" with the pixel size of 0.27 mm, have the resolution of 750tvl and, plus to the two traditional switchable composite video entries and one through entry S-Video (Y/C) has the slot for the setting of the composite video entry or outlet of SDI signal. The models have a very compact design and if it is necessary can be mounted in the standard 19" body at the use of an additional bracket. The economic variant of these monitors doesn't have room for the additional module, but has the same exploitation parameters: support of the NTSC and PAL standards, opportunity of line supply with tension 120 and 230 V, opportunity of remote control by the additional wire remote-control station.

The chose of the entry signals (switch of channels) happens with the help of buttons on the front board. The means of control of the main functions (saturation, contrast, phase, full raster, the color turning off, "blue screen", the shot format (4:3/16:9) and sound) are situated on the front board. Through the menu of settings the choice of the color temperature (9300° K or 6500° K) can be performed. The standards PAL/NTSC are chosen automatically or by the hand switch. The front board is equipped with the lamp of the signaling the work on the air. There is the cutoff point (D-sub fifteen male) for the remote control. The weight of the monitor is 20.1 kg.

For the studios that specialize in editing and special effects the JVC Company offers the 17" monitor TM-H1700G and 19" monitor TM-H1900G. In these models the rectangular electron-beam tube with the diameter of the bean of phosphor of 0.27 mm is used. The letter "H" in the name of the monitors stands for horizontal resolution capacity High Resolution of 750 tvl for the Y/C entries and "G" for the Global Compatibility, which is work in standards PAL and NTCS with the wideband system of the automatical stabilizing of entering tension of the power supply unit at the change of the tension of the mains in the diapason 120...230 V.

At these models there is an opportunity of the color temperature choice (temperature (9300° K or 6500° K). The means of control of the main functions (saturation, contrast, brightness, phase, full raster and sound) are situated on the front board. The choice of the shot formats (4:3/16:9), color temperature and system of the color television is done through the setting menu. On the entry the two full video signal and signal Y/C (channel of Video and Video B) can be given. The monitors are equipped with the cutoff point (d-sub fifteen male) for the remote control. The brackets for the setting of the monitors into the standard 19" body are RK-C1700E for TM-H1700G monitor and RK-C1900E for TM-H100G monitor and are offered additionally.

TM-1750PND and TM-1050PND monitors

For the joint operation with the devices operating with the Component/RGB or SDI signals the TM-H1900CG monitor is provided, which by its technical characteristics corresponds with the viewed above monitors. The slots foreseen for the operation with entering Component/RGB or SDI signals are optional at the monitor.

For the operation with the high-definition television signals the JVC Company produces two models of the monitors.

DT-V1700CG HD monitor

DT-V1700CG is the multiform 17" monitor for the television of high definition. It operates in PAL, NTSC standards with the signals of 480i, 480p, 1080i, 720h formats and also 1080/24psf signals of the cinematographic condition. It is ideal for the manufacturing of TV production, broadcasting and video professional applications. The hyperplane CRT display with high brightness and contrast provides the resolution capability of 800 tvl horizontally and has the system of the stable white balance support. The compact size of the 17" monitor DT-V1700CG is comparable with the sizes of the standard 15" monitor. All the slots of the entering video and sound signals are ordered additionally:

• IF-CO1PNG are analogous composite enters;
• IF-C01COMG are the analogous component outlets;
• IF-C01SDG is the digital SDI entry;
• HD-SDI is the digital HD SDI entry.

On these slots the cutoff points of the sound signals are also situated. The monitor can have up to three different slots at the same time.

The regulation of the levels of saturation, contrast, phase is made with the help of handles situated on the front board. The turning on of the full raster, "Blue screen", turning off the light, choice of the shot size (16:9/4:3), the marking of the display 16:9/14:9/13:9/4:3, and demagnetization functions are conducted by the front board buttons.

With the help of the setting menu the color temperature (9300° K or 6500° K) can be chosen. The monitor has the function of delay (up to 3 sec) of the power tension supply. The power supply conducts by line of the alternating current of 120...230 V. On the front board the signal lamp of the working on air is situated. The remote control of the monitor is made through the RS-232C (D-sub nineteen male) port and the cutoff point (D-sub fifteen male). Through the cutoff point (D-sub fifteen male) the choice of entrance can be held, the change of the shot size, turn on the marking of the display, the reflection of the full raster, turn on the light and signaling indicator. The additional bracket RK-C1700E is assigned for the setting of monitor into the standard 19" body. The weight of the monitor is 23.2 kg.

The color monitor TM-A101G is one of the last models of the 10" monitor family. It is the best for the studios of the cable television, for the education and the observing systems. The monitor is characterized by the horizontal resolution of 300 tvl, has an opportunity of the format of shot 16:9/4:3 transfer, is compatible with the PAL and NTSC systems. On the entry the two full video signal can be given (channels of Video A and Video B). The entering sound signals are mono (on each channel). The control of the main functions (saturation, contrast brightness, phase and sound) are made by the front board. The choice of the shot format (4:3/16:9) and the system of the color television is done through the setting menu. The power is from the line of the alternating current of 120...230 V. The compact sizes of the monitor allows stationing of two monitors in one 19" body. The weight of the monitor is 6.8 kg.
