Dimmers of Robert Juliat Company

At present on light control systems market exists large number of digital and analogous dimmers. During recently digital dimmers, that step by step push off analogous, find wide application.

"Business Center "Arlecchino" Ltd. uses equipment of different companies during staging. The specialists of well-known company Robert Juliat found the interesting decision, which is digital dimmer Tivoli and Carment Network software. Technical characteristics of Tivoli speak for themselves:

• new processor with three-leveled software;
• choice of main parameters of general control of lower level in main menu B (basic);
• menu D (digi) is identical to Digi Tour dimmer with the same functions;
• full control of upper level with the help of menu F (full).

Due to the tree control levels Tivoli meets the users requirements more fully than earlier. Menu F is not complex, but allows getting the access to the Tivoli functions of upper level when menu B provides an opportunity to control the main parameters with no use of upper level, what simplifies simple procedures as number changing.

Tivoli software has the same opportunities as Digi Tour VS, but with following additions:

• automatic configuration of dimmer modules;
• phase indicator;
• control of two ventilators with heat-sensing devices with five levels of temperature regulation;
• finding of overvoltage and evening-out of voltage jumps;
• limiting of exit voltage for prolongation of lamp's service life;
• global menu with reflection of all parameters of one dimmer channel;
• text menu for checking DMX, ventilators, main storage, etc;
• new build-in consequences;
• setting for increase and decrease of time delay (similar to Espion). Non digital indication and opportunity of entry of groups of 15 fields with different time. Each one can have external control, for example, 15 different consequences with remote control;
• other function are five curves per channel, starting of "cold" lamps, 7500- step programmed darkening, DMX accelerator, renaming, etc.

Tivoli hardware:

• three-phase power supply of 380/415 V;
• two variants of exiting wiring. Variant 1: connection on internal security automates. Variant 2: connection through cutoff points on front panel;
• four dimmer standard configurations: 24x16 A, 12x25 A, 12x16 A and 6x25 A.

Software for dimmer control with the help of computer Carmen provides quality remote control. Carmen system is fully independent from console and simply connects to it with the help of two information cables. Computer can be any PC with Windows operation system. For information transfer the port RS-485 is used, which provide the speed of data transfer of 330 kB/sec. The network card maintains connection to the computer of up to 32 Tivoli , remote from the computer on the distance of up to 600 m. For connection of more than 32 receivers the accelerator of data transfer is used. The same facility is used if the distance to the last of receivers is over 600 m.
